We are excited to announce Allison as the new Director of Development at Loran Scholars Foundation. Allison joins the leadership team as the organization’s first-ever fundraising director. As such, she will work with the leadership team and CEO Meghan Moore to take their fundraising to a new level-building systems and processes, developing a national donor pool, and growing major gift donations within a well-established fundraising organization.

A career fundraiser, Allison spent the last 10 years at Queen’s University, most recently as SDO, Health Sciences. While at Queen’s, she developed the athletics advancement program and gained essential strategic experience on their principal giving team. Before joining Queen’s, Allison honed her skills at Concordia University and then at the Gold Centre (Miriam Foundation).

Colleagues describe Allison as tenacious, not afraid to pick up the phone and make a connection with a donor. Her comprehensive understanding of the major gift process shines in everything she does, including an ability to be on a first-name basis with some of the most influential donors in Canada. Equally important, it was clear in my own conversations with her that Allison brings both warmth and integrity to the donor cultivation process. She also speaks both official languages, which will be a definite advantage as Loran builds out their donor program nationally.

We wish Allison the very best in her new role at Loran.
