Bonnie was recruited to bring her professional touch to large and complex corpo rate relationships, and she works with the corporate team to build new connections and create great experiences for existing partners. Benita Hansraj, Director, Marketing Communications, The Canadian Centre To End Human Trafficking
Reporting to Executive Director, Julia Drydyk, Benita Hansraj joins the senior leadership team at the Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking. At the Centre, Benita will lead the development of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to deliver against the organization’s new five-year strategic plan. Supported by her 15+ years of experience in the public and not-for-profit sectors, most especially through her tenure, with UNICEF Canada and Diabetes Canada, Benita is known for exceeding business objectives with proven creative, integrated strategies but most importantly, through her passion for improving the lives of others by pursuing a purpose-driven career. Rob Hindley, National Director, Marketing and Communications, Windmill Microlending
Rob Hindley joined Windmill Microlending as their National Director, Marketing and Communications, reporting to CEO Claudia Hepburn.
Rob started his career working in marketing for packaged goods organizations such as Pizza Pizza and Coca-Cola. His first foray into the NFP sector was at the CNIB. As the Vice President, Marketing and Product Development, reporting to the CEO, he was a key leader in the CNIB’s recent transformation. There, Rob was known for his ability to address problems and craft innovative solutions, as well as his talent for managing and mentoring staff in a kind and respectful way. Rob is now bringing his strategic and resourceful thinking to Windmill Microlending as it continues its national growth and increases the number of skilled immigrants receiving loans. Amy Morin, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, Cystic Fibrosis Canada
Amy joined Cystic Fibrosis Canada as the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, reporting to the CEO, Kelly Grover. CF Canada was looking for a strategic thinker who could help the CEO and executive team build a compelling marketing and communications plan to proactively support the organization’s network of regional branches and partnerships. Amy’s proven strength as a community-builder was a great fit for CF, which relies heavily on community to meet its mission. Known for her positive, calm and professional demeanor, Amy’s highly personal approach combines with her ability to set—and meet—goals to make her a great addition to the CF leadership team.
Prior to joining CF Canada, Amy was Executive Director, Community Engagement, at the Toronto French School, where she had accountability for PR, marketing, communications and community development. There, Amy was instrumental in developing an effective stakeholder network while also creating strong and impactful marketing programs. Erin Schachter, National Director of Development, The Learning Partnership
Erin recently joined The Learning Partnership (TLP) as their National Director of Development, reporting to the CEO, Debra D. Kerby. Erin brings creativity and a can-do attitude to TLP’s leadership team, designing meaningful – and innovative – opportunities for partnerships. And her relationship-management skills live up to her reputation: during the interview process, her references were quick to support Erin and sing her praises.
Erin came to TLP from The Musical Stage Company, where she was Executive Director, Advancement. There, she worked with the founding Artistic & Managing Director to boost revenue streams, including through fundraising and ticket sales. At this relatively new organization, Erin was able to use her energy and smarts to construct fresh and exciting programs to help achieve their objectives. Outside of work, but closely related, Erin volunteers as co-host and member of the steering committee to the Global Innovation Field Trip, a series of 24-hour virtual events showcasing and connecting young inventors from around-the-world. Kristina Schreiber, Executive Director, Community Relations, Upper Canada College
Kristina joined Upper Canada College in March 2020 as Executive Director, Community Relations. Reporting to Vice Principal, Advancement, Brendan Dellandrea, the role was created to elevate relationships with UCC alumni, volunteers and the community at large, and represent the Advancement team to meet upcoming campaign objectives.
In her early career, Kristina developed her relationship management skills and her ability to produce exceptional major events as the Manager, Special Events and Turnout at The National Ballet of Canada. In 2014, SearchSmart recruited Kristina for True Patriot Love, where she led their events strategy as the Director, Expeditions and Events. This included large scale gala fundraisers across Canada, as well as international expeditions. After more than five years at True Patriot Love, Kristina was seeking career advancement. Shannon Townsend, Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships, Windmill Microlending
Reporting to the CEO, Claudia Hepburn, Shannon is the newest member of the Windmill philanthropy team. Previously, Shannon worked in fundraising at both the Women’s College Hospital Foundation and Evergreen. By taking on increasingly senior roles and responsibilities, Shannon has demonstrated an ability to build successful partnerships and to be fearless and hard-working in her approach. Shannon will work with the team at Windmill to build out corporate development on a national scale.
