We are excited to announce Laura as the new National Director, Partnerships and Client Success at Windmill Microlending. Laura joins the executive team and is responsible for increasing the number of loan referral partnerships in both the private and not-for-profit sectors while also ensuring that those who receive a loan are set up for success.

Laura has over 14 years of experience in the private sector with Google, Scotiabank, CPP Investments, and most recently at Goodmans. She has successfully assumed a number of strategic roles with a focus on sales and account management, strategy and marketing and communications. Some of Laura’s most notable achievements include the launch of FCLT Global, a non-profit entity created by CPPIB and McKinsey & Company and at Google being on the first team to monetize YouTube in Canada. 

She holds an Honours Business Administration (HBA) from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a CEMS Masters of International Management.  Laura also sits on Baycrest Hospital’s finance and audit committee.

Colleagues describe Laura as smart and driven with a very strategic mindset. She is very goal oriented and disciplined in the pursuit of those goals. Laura is also recognized as something of a jack-of-all-trades who is good at just about everything she puts her mind to.
